Occupying a beautifully restored monastery dating back to the 17th century, just minutes away from the medieval city of Gubbio, Park Hotel ai Cappuccini is one of Umbria's finest resorts.
Transformed into a 4 star hotel and conference center in the mid 1960's, the building still conserves numerous traces of its ancient past, including a series of priceless Renaissance paintings and Flemish tapestries.
Traditional hospitality, contemporary comfort
Guest accommodation is provided in a total of 95 bedrooms and suites. The romantic "cloister" rooms feature antique furniture and four poster beds.
The rooms and suites located in the new wing, cleverly designed to be in total harmony with the old monastic complex, are furnished in quietly sophisticated, contemporary style. All rooms are equipped with the latest in modern technology and have fabulous views over the resort's park.
Seasonal eats
Chestnuts and mushrooms in the autumn, black truffle from Norcia in the winter, asparagus, wild rocket and borage in the spring and wild berries in the summer: restaurant "San Nicola I Capogrossi"'s à la carte menu reflects perfectly the changing of the seasons.
A faultless wine list, featuring all of the finest wines from Umbria and neighboring Tuscany, ensures the perfect accompaniment to each and every meal.
Wellbeing and contemporary art
In the garden and inside the structure you can admire valuable "'works by masters of contemporary art'" such as Arnaldo Pomodoro, Beverly Pepper, Giuseppe Capogrossi, but there is no shortage of 15th century frescoes, tapestries and paintings from every era.
Those who prefer to dedicate themselves to body care can regenerate with the treatments of the Cappuccini Wellness & Spa, the wellness area equipped with Finnish saunas, Turkish bath, Mediterranean bath, emotional showers, relaxation area, hydromassage room.
