Trevi: introduction
Those who love art and at the same time love nature will be sure to find both in Trevi. The town's artistic treasures, Pinturicchio's "Madonna" and Spagna's "the Coronation of Mary" can be found in the Pinacoteca Art Gallery. Other frescos include Perugino's "Madonna delle Lacrime" and various works of art from the XIV and XV century.
The town's architectural heritage is just as rich, with the Church of St Francis, the Palazzo Comunale and the Church of St Emiliano, with its apse and alter of immense artistic value. Trevi, like the majority of small Umbrian towns, perches on rocky mountain terrain from where it dominates an enchanting valley through which the Clitunno River passes.
