Farming in Tuscany, since 1750

Like the idea of staying at a historic farm stay in Tuscany? For almost three centuries Fattoria di Statiano's farmers have been tilling this thick and clayey soil - all 150 hectares of it!
In September the grapes, used to produce the farm's super Montecastelli Sangiovese wine, are harvested. In late October, early November Fattoria Statiano's olives are ripe enough to be transformed into one of the region's finest extra virgin olive oil.
