Traces of an ancient past

Thick stone walls, hand-hewn oak beams, terracotta floor tiles: an enchanting atmosphere of times gone by still lingers in the living room, the library, the corner bar, and in the stone walled reading room.

Meet the family

Genius Loci is owned by the Tacconi family, the members of which guests will have the pleasure of meeting during their stay at the country house.
On arrival, holidaymakers are greeted by Michael, who is always keen to assist guests and to illustrate the Relais' activities, which include cooking lessons with Mary, tours of the estate's vineyards in the company of Maurizio, and lessons in Medieval and Renaissance art and music held by Marica.

A day at Relais Genius Loci

At Relais Genius Loci the days commence with a rich buffet breakfast, served in the dining room or outdoors, beneath the pretty portico overlooking the valley.
In the summer season guests relax by the large panoramic swimming pool in the garden.
In the evening, tastings of Umbria's extra virgin olive oil and excellent Sagrantino and Montefalco wines are held in the farmhouse's recently restored cellars.
