Lecco: introduction
On the western banks Lake Como, lies one of the most enchanting towns of the area Lecco. The town developed from two principal piazzas, Piazza Cermenati and Piazza XX Settembre, and now stretches out way beyond the original lakeside village. Lecco's fame is linked to Alessandro Manzoni who set his novel "The Betrothed" here.
To visit: the Basilica of San Nicolò, the Palazzotto di Don Rodrigo, the Natural History Museum, Villa Manzoni, the Manzoni Museum, the Archeological Museum, the House of Lucia Mondella, the Ex Pescarenico Convent (Convent of Fra' Cristoforo), the Monument erected in honor of Manzoni, the Azzone Visconti Bridge, the Viscontea Tower, the Sanctuary of Santa Maria Gloriosa, Vallo delle mura, the Town Art gallery, the Social Theatre of Lecco, the Church of Beato Serafino, the Church of St Materno and St Lucia, the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Vittoria. The Natural Oasis of Piani d'Erna is well worth a visit.
Lecco: suggestions from the hotels
There can be many different reasons to choose Relais Villa Vittoria, but I believe the main strong point is the environment: the "Romantic Shore", location where the Villa is built and the nature surrounding it. (Relais Villa Vittoria) →
